Our Facilities

The Building and Grounds committee meets at the same time as the finance commission serving as advisors to the rector and vestry on issues related to the scheduled maintenance and upkeep of the church's physical plant and grounds as well as the development of short- and long-term capital needs. The rector and admin staff arranges for snow removal, lawn maintenance, and interior cleaning. 

In 1999-2002 a long-range plan was carried out which included a substantial number of projects:

• electrical work/new lighting in the nave, chancel, narthex, undercroft, and education wing
• minor expansion of the chancel space
• removal of several pews in the chancel and nave
• creation of handicapped accessible seating
• purchase of 30 new chairs for the nave and chancel
• new carpet in the nave and undercroft
• new front doors (painted red)
• extensive exterior stucco work

In 2016, the parish hall was renovated which included new laminate flooring to replace the carpet and repainting of the walls. The flooring was paid for by donations from parishioners, and the painting was done by volunteers from the parish

. 

In 2023 an effort was made to identify and fix the deferred maintenance on the now 20-year-old facility. Projects in progress include:

• repair to the stucco
• repairs to the doors
• repairs to the roof and gutters
