About Our Parish Community

Mission

Inclusivity

Inclusivity

We are here to worship God, to proclaim God's love by word and deed, to nurture spiritually a diverse parish, and to serve the community and all who come among us.

Vision

 Lift high the cross.

Foster meaningful fellowship and joyful participation. Welcome others to serve God and the community within and outside Christ Episcopal Church Kent

Inclusivity

Inclusivity

Inclusivity

We welcome everyone to full participation, regardless of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, age, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, marital status or genetic information.

Leadership

Inclusivity

Leadership

Each parish is led by a vestry elected by the members.  The Rector (or priest-in-charge) serves as the chair of the vestry following Episcopal polity.

The Rector (or priest-in-charge)  is selected by the vestry to serve as the spiritual leader of the congregations.

Each congregation belongs to a diocese led by a bishop.

Our parish encourages members to see themselves as ministers and as a result enjoys many different forms of personal ministry. Our parish knows about and supports the mission of the Church beyond itself and we reflect the cultural diversity of our surrounding community.
